Lo dice un’analisi di Ha’aretz, in quale maniera però non l’ho capito – credo che l’ipotesi più verosimile sia: inasprimento dell’occupazione, Hamas riconquista la Cisgiordania, Israele decide rioccupano tutta la West Bank e far saltare gli accordi di Oslo, tutte le rimanenti persone normali (poche) scappano in qualche paese sensato, gli arabi-israeliani decidono che è meglio combattere per Dio che per la felicità dei propri figli, etc.
Inizia una guerra civile in cui – nel giro di qualche anno – muoiono tutti, da una parte e dall’altra.
Sì, in un certo senso si potrebbe chiamare “pace”.

my fear is that they will sit out the first term of the Obama administration doing nothing too extreme one way or another, hoping he’s a one term president and that the next admin is more sympathetic, then they will see if their gamble pays out

wondering why at La Repubblica or Corriere they are so surprised…
most of this game is played away from the press’s eyes: those Israeli F16s need these small damn parts to fly and sometime shipments can be mysteriously delayed…those GBU-39 bombs have a shelf life…or they can come in defective…conservative jews haven’t really voted for Obama anyway…etc etc.there are many ways for the US to show some “tough love” and make the Israele look foolish or unreasonable…but it won’t be anything dramatic.
