wondering why at La Repubblica or Corriere they are so surprised…

most of this game is played away from the press’s eyes: those Israeli F16s need these small damn parts to fly and sometime shipments can be mysteriously delayed…those GBU-39 bombs have a shelf life…or they can come in defective…conservative jews haven’t really voted for Obama anyway…etc etc.there are many ways for the US to show some “tough love” and make the Israele look foolish or unreasonable…but it won’t be anything dramatic.

Si, ipotesi verosimile…
Un’altra ipotesi: stanno diminuendo gli ebrei, stanno aumentando gli arabi…il rapporto tra gli abitanti cambierà e potrà determinare altri scenari.

I guess that analyst is repeating the mantra that Bibi is a pragmatic politician first, so what he says is not what he does. he’s got Edu Barak in his government, can’t go too far on the right.

my fear is that they will sit out the first term of the Obama administration doing nothing too extreme one way or another, hoping he’s a one term president and that the next admin is more sympathetic, then they will see if their gamble pays out
